WHAT ARE SOME OF THE BENEFITS?
CHILDREN: Children learn through guided learning and play activities. Interaction with other children and a low student teacher—preschooler ratio help children develop to their full potential.
PARENTS: Parents become educational partners and discover activities that contribute to the developmental needs of the child. Take-home activities, newsletters, and daily activity cards provide materials that help parents extend learning beyond the scheduled sessions.
STUDENTS: High School students gain insight and knowledge through practical experience as they participate with groups of children or interact with them one-on-one.
Preschool classes are located at Mercer County Career Center. A well-equipped classroom provides carpeted learning and play areas with furniture scaled for young children. A large selection of educational and developmental toys and learning materials are available and a private restroom is provided.

I am so happy that I chose the Mercer County Career Center Preschool Program for my son. I feel that it helped him get over the jitters of meeting new friends. This program also helped him learn the skills needed for the start of kindergarten.–A. Adams
My daughter was always very excited to go to the career center preschool. They truly instilled and nurtured her love of learning! She is now in kindergarten and exceeding expectations! We can’t wait to enroll our son in the future!–S. Hamilton
They were really patient with my son his first year when he cried when I dropped him off. He loved going back the second year with more confidence and enjoyed the smaller class size. I have nothing but good things to say about the program.–C. Reiber
