Remote Learning Instructions

Mercer County Career Center may occasionally adjust its schedule due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances. This may include a two-hour delay, remote learning day, or school closure to prioritize the safety and well-being of students and staff. These decisions are made in collaboration with our sending school districts, considering factors such as hazardous travel conditions, facility concerns, or other emergencies. Our goal is to ensure a safe learning environment while minimizing disruptions to student education.

Remote Learning Expectations

  • All students will follow the instructions and complete their Canvas assignments provided by their instructor.

  • If students do not complete their assignments they will need to provide a valid written excuse, or you will be marked as unexcused absence.

  • Any assignments that are not completed will be recorded as a zero.

Attendance - Daily Grade

To be marked as present and earn your daily grade, students must log into Canvas and complete their remote learning assignments by the end of the school day.

Virtual Office Hours - Support

Your instructor will post a Zoom in Canvas and be available via Zoom to provide support or answer any questions at the following times.  Instructors will also be available by email during the school day and can schedule additional help as needed.

  • AM Zoom Support Session - 9:30 - 10:30am

  • PM Zoom Support Session - 12:30 - 1:30pm
