
Niveen Kanan, a Sharon Senior in our Culinary Arts program, is part of our Cooperative Education program. Niveen works at The Simple Greek in Hermitage. Niveen practices safety and sanitation as well as purchasing, receiving and storage. Niveen also works with cooking and baking, dining room services, and front of the house operations. Nice Work Niveen!!

Carson Ligo, a Lakeview Senior in our Diesel Technology program, is part of our Cooperative Education program. Carson works at Laubscher Cheese in Mercer. Carson works on suspension, steering, and drive line troubleshooting. Carson also works with electrical systems as well as analyzing and interpreting schematics. Great Work Carson!!

Dylan Bertolasio, a Sharpsville Senior in our Automotive Technology program, is part of our Cooperative Education program. Dylan works at PJ’s Auto in West Middlesex. Dylan detects brake, suspension, and tire wear issues. He also is training on alignments and ABS functions. Awesome Job Dylan!!

Dale Reiser, a Lakeview Senior in our Automotive Technology program, is part of our Cooperative Education program. Dale works at Fredonia Tire where he identifies brake, suspension, and vibration concerns. He also repairs and replaces suspension parts, brake components, and engine parts and sensors. Way to go Dale!!

For the sixth year in a row, National Technical Honor Society once again collected a large load of toys and cash donations for the annual Toys for Tots campaign in Mercer County.





Students in the Culinary Arts program prepared for the JOC meeting at the Career Center. Students set up, prepare, and serve the meal for this event. Events such as this give our students the opportunities to gain real world experience.

Congratulations to our MCCC STRIVE Student of the Week – Coral Wise. Coral is a Senior from Grove City High School and was selected by her Cosmetology Instructor, Mrs. Myers. Coral is very conscientious about her academics, always pleasant and a self-motivated student. She is a member of NTHS, Skills USA, and she is also competing for the Esthetics Competition at the District Competition in January. Coral will be taking her PA State Licensing Boards in early Spring. Congratulations Coral!!

Congratulations to our MCCC STRIVE Student of the Week – Robert Burns. Robbie is a Senior from Jamestown High School and was selected by his Carpentry Instructor, Mr. Powers. Robbie has natural leadership ability which has earned him the respect of his peers and his Instructor. Robbie has a lead by example mentality that has placed him in the position to be the Carpentry Shop Foreman. He has matured into a student who can do anything he puts his mind to. Robbie consistently demonstrates what hard work and determination looks like. It’s truly been an honor to teach him.
