In Electronics Technology students are working on a variety of projects this week including building a digital logic trainer, a digital clock circuit, and using IPC 610 soldering standards. The opportunity to build or fix something is always available with Electronics!

Congratulations to our MCCC STRIVE Student of the Week – Morgan Popielarcheck. Morgan is a Senior from Jamestown High School and was selected by her Early Childhood Education Instructor, Ms. Edmiston. Morgan has good attendance and she always goes above and beyond to assist other students ensuring a good experience for the preschoolers. She pursues every opportunity offered. She is a competitor in the District 10 Skills USA Competition. She provides quality childcare in her community and volunteers to mentor younger students. Morgan completed her Child Development Associate (CDA) portfolio in one year. She has maintained high grades, attended the ECE advisory meeting, and helped with the spring orientation for new students. She is very involved in volleyball with Jamestown High School and a travel team. Morgan has been accepted at Thiel College in the Early Childhood Education department and plans to continue playing volleyball in college. Congratulations Morgan!!

Today was show and tell and center day in Early Childhood Education for the preschoolers. Each preschooler brought in something to share with their classmates. Today was also center day for the preschoolers where a high school student led an activity. Such a fun day!

Centers are the theme today in Early Childhood Education. Each high school teacher creates a center and they decide what modifications to make over 2 weeks to develop the best activity for the preschoolers. Today’s topic was winter. The preschoolers really enjoyed the centers!!

The preschoolers really enjoy their one-on-one time with a high school student. Preschoolers play games, paint, work on their letters, and color. One-on-one time offers more attention, structure, and formal education to each child. Awesome Job Everyone!!

Niveen practices safety and sanitation as well as purchasing, receiving and storage. Niveen also works with cooking and baking, dining room services, and front of the house operations.
