Last week our Logistics and Service Occupations programs took a tour of Joy Cone's warehouse facilities. Thanks for the tour Joy Cone!

Last week our National Technical Honor Society (NTHS) took a trip to the Cleveland Zoo and stopped at Quaker Steak and Lube after and had a blast!

This year's Award Night Ceremony will be held at Thiel College! Seniors need to arrive at the Passavant Center by 6:00 PM, with their gowns. MCCC asks that each student limit guests to six. Tickets are not necessary to attend. We hope to see you on Awards Night 2024!
Graduation gowns will be distributed to seniors after the graduation practice, held at MCCC on May 21st during the AM and PM sessions. Please note that student attire for Awards Night is Business Dress.

Tuesday, May 21st is the last day before summer break that we will have open clinic for Cosmetology. Make sure if you wanted to get in to do it before its too late!


Zy’ion Mosley, one of our Culinary students from Sharon High School has received a $1,000 student worker grant from The Nutrition Group Charities. Congratulations Zy'ion!


Mercer County Career Center helps you get a career! Emillee Sweetapple is a Cosmetology Graduate of 2023 who has been hired at Great Clips in Grove City, PA. Congrats Emillee!


Skills USA State Competition went well, MCCC got One Gold, Five Silver, and One Bronze Medal! Below are the students who got medals:

The Cosmetology class got to tour the Douglas Education Center to tour the Special Effects Makeup Program, Massage Therapy Program, and Advanced Cosmetic Techniques Program last week. Even though it was rainy and cold, we had a blast!




The senior Cosmo students gave manicures to residents at Ridgewood on Friday and everyone had a blast!

Wednesday night we had a Joint Program Occupational Advisory Committee Meeting. The Culinary Arts students helped host and prepare the food for the event. Thank you to everyone who attended!

Two of our Cooperative Ed. students were featured in the Record Argus! Aaron Lindsay and Joseph Hagermeir-Geiswite have been working with Anderson Coach & Travel and Anderson plans to hire both young men for permanent positions after they graduate this spring! Congrats fellas!

Spa Night has been canceled tonight. It will be rescheduled for some time in April. Updates to come. Thank you for your understanding.

Some Culinary Arts students had the opportunity to compete at the 10th Annual ProStart Invitational hosted at State College, PA








Mercer County Career Center (MCCC) and Laurel Technical Institute (LTI) signed the Advanced Placement Agreement today, which is for Advanced Placement consideration in the Computer Network Security Technician (CNST) Specialized Associate Degree. Upon completion, students who successfully meet criteria will be exempt from 15 credits and be placed into a 2nd semester standing.

NTHS hosted a food drive this past week and all of the items went to the Mercer County Food Bank. 605 items were collected in total!
